Ray-Ray McCloud III - Plays bigger role in Week 18McCloud recorded three catches (on four targets) for 22 yards, one carry for seven yards and two punt returns for 17 yards during Sunday's 21-20 loss to the Rams.
ImpactMcCloud completed an IR stint of five games and was able to suit up for the regular-season finale, and he got a bit more run on offense (59 percent share) than normal with the 49ers sitting out key starters and capping fellow WRs Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk to cameos. In the end, McCloud's output Sunday pushed him to a 12-135-0 line on 15 targets and three carries for 30 yards in 12 appearances on the campaign. When San Francisco next takes the field in the divisional round on Saturday, Jan. 20 or Sunday, Jan. 21, he likely will be contained to return duties with Samuel, Aiyuk and Jauan Jennings (concussion) handling most of the work at wide receiver.

Jordan Fuller - Likely dealing with minor injuryFuller is considered day-to-day, according to head coach Sean McVay, after suffering an ankle injury in Sunday's win over the 49ers, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ImpactFuller missed the majority of the contest, playing just 12 snaps on defense before exiting. Considering his day-to-day status, it's likely the Ohio State product will be available for Sunday's wild-card game against the Lions. However, if he's unable to suit up, the Rams will likely need to lean on Russ Yeast at strong safety.

2023 NFL MVP race, odds: Lamar Jackson remains huge favorite after Week 18
Tyler Johnson - Scores first touchdown since 2020Johnson secured two of three targets for eight yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 21-20 victory against San Francisco.
ImpactWith the Rams resting players, Johnson was activated from the practice squad for the second time this season, and made his first appearance in a game since 2022 with the Texans count. Carson Wentz threw a dart to Johnson in the back of the end zone on a crucial third down, giving Johnson an eight-yard touchdown catch, his first score since his rookie campaign with Tampa Bay in 2020. The Rams are firmly entrenched with Cooper Kupp (coach's decision), Puka Nacua and Demarcus Robinson as their starters and have Tutu Atwell, Ben Skowronek and Austin Trammell as backups, so Johnson's time on the main roster this season is likely over barring an injury in the playoffs.

49ers turn their focus to the playoffs after losing a mostly meaningless finale

When the San Francisco 49ers arrived at training camp back in July, the bitter taste of last season’s postseason disappointment still lingered over the team

Brycen Hopkins - Leads team with 47 yards receivingHopkins caught two of three targets for 47 yards during Sunday's 21-20 win against San Francisco.
ImpactDespite only taking 18 snaps on offense behind starter Davis Allen, Hopkins managed to make the biggest impact on the stat sheet, including a game-long 29 yard reception on a lengthy third down to help extend a drive that led to a Tyler Johnson touchdown. With Tyler Higbee (shoulder) and Allen the primary tight ends for the Rams this season, Hopkins managed just five catches for 78 yards in 14 games, and will be a backup behind the duo in the playoffs unless Higbee misses more time with his injury.

Tutu Atwell - Miserable day as a starterAtwell caught two of four targets for seven yards and rushed once for minus-four yards during Sunday's 21-20 victory against San Francisco. He also recorded a two-point conversion.
ImpactWith Cooper Kupp (coach's decision) out and Puka Nacua and Demarcus Robinson's time on the field capped to keep them healthy for the playoffs, Atwell took the field for 64 of the Rams' 67 snaps on offense, his highest snap share since Week 8 against the Cowboys. Despite the increased role, Atwell only managed a pair of short gains on his two catches, and another pass attempt from Carson Wentz went straight through Atwell's hands and was intercepted by 49ers safety Tayler Hawkins. While a 39-483-3 receiving line over 16 games this season is an improvement over the Louisville product's rookie campaign, it still has to be considered a disappointing season given the expectation of a much bigger role for Atwell. The rise of Nacua and Robinson has relegated the speedy wideout to a backup role entering the playoffs.
